VdGM award to Per Kallestrup
The Vasco da Gama Movement is delighted to announce Per Kallestrup as the inaugural recipient of the "Being Young Staying Young" award. Per Kallestrup has been an inspirational figure to many within VdGM, being responsible for the establishment of the VdGM Hippokrates Exchange Programme. Per is also a WONCA Featured doctor this month.

VDGM young doctors' forum in Ireland in February
The second Vasco da Gama Movement Forum will take place in Dublin, Ireland on 20th and 21st February 2015. VdGM is the WONCA Europe network for new and future General Practitioners / Family Physicians and the VdGM Forum is a two day conference for new and future European family doctors. The title for the 2015 Forum is Family Medicine 2.0: Innovation and Awareness, and these themes will be reflected throughout the meeting.
Polaris' first executive meeting 2014
Polaris has been busy since its launch six months ago on World Family Doctor Day. We are happy to report on Polaris’ first executive meeting that recently took place November 12, 2014 during the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) annual Family Medicine Forum in Quebec City, Canada.

The VDGM 10th Anniversary Preconference
The astonishing city of Lisbon was the host of the 10th anniversary preconference of the Vasco da Gama Movement (VDGM), which was held on 1st and 2nd July 2014, and was made possible thanks to the enduring effort and passion of the preconference organising team and the unconditional support of the Portuguese Association of Family Medicine (APMGF).
