WONCA SIG on Health Equity September news
WONCA's new SIG on Health Equity reports: Welcome to the WONCA Special Interest Group on Health Equity news. In this edition we would like to share with you our excitement towards the upcoming WONCA Europe conference where we have been invited to host a Health Equity workshop. In addition to this, our convener shares with us some interesting and related experiences this summer.
SIG on Conflict & Catastrophe Medicine to meet in Istanbul
The WONCA Special Interest Group on Conflict & Catastrophe Medicine (WONCA SIG C&CM ) provides a forum through which WONCA can lend its support to improving the quality of care of peoples of the world when they face some of life’s greatest challenges.
General membership is open to all GP/FMDs. A workshop will be held during the WONCA Europe Conference in Istanbul (22-25 October 2015).
Special Interest Group on Health Equity May update
One year since the Newsletter for the WONCA SIG on Health Equity has started; it has been great to see increasing interest to the group, which is free for anyone of all healthcare professions to join.
Special Interest Group on Conflict & Catastrophe comment on Nepal
As recently as January 2015, WONCA Executive approved the formation of a new WONCA Special Interest Group on Conflict & Catastrophe Medicine. Convenor, Rich Withnall, has shared this message about the Nepal disaster and invited interested family doctors to join the new group.

The WONCA Special Interest Group on Family Violence launches an invitation to WONCA members, all colleges and academies to join its reflection on effective implementation on how to deal with family violence in primary health care.

A new WONCA Special Interest Group on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) was approved by the WONCA Executive in July 2013 and serves as a focus for the development of NCDs issues for Wonca worldwide.
